La. Store Can’t Claim Tax Refund On Bad Debt, Court Says

A Louisiana store that was a subsidiary of Dillard’s cannot claim a refund of sales tax paid on bad debt from credit cards issued to customers, because the bank was the entity responsible for unpaid balances, the state appeals court ruled.
